(Scroll down to see video ⬇︎⬇︎⬇︎)
Here's some equipment you might find helpful during this strength and agility program.
Helpful Equipment List
If you choose the Body weight / Suspension trainer track:
- Jungle Gym XT, or similar suspension trainer (highly recommended)
- Suspension trainer wall anchor (Optional)
- Push-up handles (Optional - I use these because I have wrist issues)
If you choose the Weight track:
- Squat rack
- Bench
- 7 foot Olympic bar
- Barbell weights
- Barbell weight collars
- Pull-up bar
- Dumbbells
(If you are interested in home gym equipment, comment below. If there's enough interest, I'll put together "my favorite things" at a good price. I've been researching for months for myself, so I'm ready! )
Agility and miscellaneous
- Jump Rope 1 (highly recommended) or here's some less expensive options: jump rope 2, or jump rope 3
- Jump Rope mat (highly recommended if using jump rope)
- Jaeger Bands or similar bands (shoulder care and strength training)
- Agility ladder (highly recommended)
- Cones (Optional. If you don't want to buy cones, you can use old shoes, a water bottle, or whatever you have laying around)
- Ankle bands
- Box (to elevate feet for pushups, side bridge, or make suspension trainer more challenging)
- PVC pipe, broomstick, or baseball bat
- Something for hand and forearm strength. The program has “Farmer walks” which is walk down and back with dumbbells or kettlebells in each hand. Can use a dumbbell to hold, bucket full of water with sturdy handle, or we can modify by hanging in the air from a straight bar (such as a pull-up bar), so your hands are holding your bodyweight.
